February 15 / Mark: The Plundering King
Passage: Mark 3:20-30
Jesus describes Himself as one who binds the strong man before plundering his house in Mark 3:27. The strong man is Satan, who gained authority over this world when Adam and Eve chose to obey him instead of God in the Garden of Eden. Satan's house represents this world system, and his goods are people who remain spiritually blinded and bound without Christ. Jesus came not just to improve lives, but to forcefully overthrow Satan's dominion and rescue people from spiritual captivity. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has already secured victory, and now calls every believer to join Him in this plundering mission by sharing the Gospel and setting captives free.
